Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know about our handcrafted Nigerian accessories, shipping across Canada, and caring for your heritage pieces.

General Questions
Where is Accessories By RS located?

We are proudly based in Canada! This allows us to offer fast, reliable shipping across the provinces without the long wait times or surprise customs fees associated with international ordering.

Absolutely. We take great pride in our heritage. Each Ibo, Yoruba, and Hausa cap is sourced or crafted to meet traditional standards, and our beadwork is handmade with high-quality materials to ensure you receive a piece that is both beautiful and culturally accurate.

Product & Sizing

Most of our caps are designed with standard traditional fits. However, for the best fit, we recommend measuring the circumference of your head just above the ears. If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for comfort.

We offer both traditional “tie-on” waist beads and adjustable versions with clasps. Please check the specific product description. Tie-on beads are permanent until you choose to cut them off, while clasp versions allow for easy removal.

We use a variety of high-quality materials, including genuine coral, polished glass, and durable acrylic beads. The specific materials used are always listed in the individual product descriptions.

Shipping & Orders

For orders within Canada, processing typically takes 1–2 business days. Once shipped, standard delivery usually takes 3–7 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your package is on its way.

Yes, we ship to the United States and select international locations. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times for international orders are calculated at checkout.

We love creating custom pieces! If you have a specific color scheme for a wedding or event, please contact us via our Contact Page or email us directly. Custom orders may require additional processing time.

Care & Maintenance

To maintain the shape and fabric quality (especially for Aso Oke or embroidered Hausa caps), we recommend spot cleaning only with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or dry clean unless specified.

To keep your neck and wrist beads looking their best, avoid direct contact with perfumes, lotions, or harsh chemicals. Store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Returns & Exchanges

We accept returns on unworn and non-customized items within 14 days of delivery. Please note that for hygiene reasons, all waist beads are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

We inspect every piece before it leaves our workshop, but if your item is damaged during transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage, and we will make it right.
